As bad as Covid-19 truly was, an even worse pandemic might be the pandemic of hopelessness. Whether its because of addiction, anxiety, or aimlessness, hopelessness is gripping so many people. What is needed is a voice of hope to break through, and reach into the darkness to say, “Hold on, don’t give up, don’t harm yourself – we are here with you.” Our calling as a church is to be present as that voice to a hurting world around us.
