From the Pastor's Desk A Short One to Remember

A Short One to Remember

Good morning from warm, sunny (and humid) Florida!

I hope you’re well today. We’ve enjoyed our vacation very much so far, and it’s been good to spend time with my dad and my mom (who you’ve been praying for as she goes through cancer treatments…she thanks you!).

As I opened my bible app to read today’s readings, it opened to Psalm 107  – another one of my favorites. It pictures people of the world who are in all various kinds of troubles, and when they cry out to God, he hears and delivers them.  Wonderful.

But the way it starts is with one of the refrains that is heard throughout the Psalms – one that we should know with our minds – and more importantly – know (and believe and live like) in our hearts:

O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever.

                                                Psalm 107:1

It’s a short passage, but one to remember. I want to encourage you to commit this passage to memory – in both your mind and your heart – so that you can meditate on it, be encouraged by it, and recall it when it is most deeply needed.

I’m looking forward to the rest of our trip, but also to coming back to worship with you (outdoors again!) on Sunday.

We'd love for you to
