An Invite for You
We’ve got a big Sunday coming up: our first service at the harbor gazebo! I don’t know about you, but I’m so excited. I love doing our worship service outdoors, I love getting to meet new people, I love the challenges that we’re always provided with (weather, loud cars, who knows?!?),
I love being able to talk about Jesus within earshot of people who might have written him off.
So far this month, I’ve asked you to pray for the gazebo services and I’ve asked you to invite others to ‘Come & See’ Jesus with us. Today though, I want to extend a special invitation to YOU.
I want to invite you to come and see Jesus – again.
I know that for some of you, myself included, you’ve been a Christian for a long time. You’ve known Jesus for a long time, you’ve heard all of the stories before, you know Jesus, you know about Jesus, you love Jesus. That’s a good thing…no, a great thing.
But we can never stop ‘seeing’ Jesus again, in a new way, in a fresh way – because Jesus never stops being fresh, never stops surprising. His call on our lives is always the same (follow me), and at the same time, it’s always new (in different and deeper ways). The moment we think we know it all, we just show how little we actually know.
So no matter where you are in your discipleship to Jesus, I want to invite you this August to open your heart, mind, ears, attitude – and eyes – to come and see Jesus again, or rather, again for the first time.
Allow the good news of Jesus to surprise you again.
Hear his love, his grace, his claim on your life, his call for you all over again.
And please: keep praying, and keep inviting!
Share our Facebook post with them, give them a “Come & See” card, text them a link to cbcah.org/gazebo, or just tell them that you’ll pick them up and bring them.
